Restaurants: You will not find it difficult to find somewhere to eat in Acharavi !
Perhaps the biggest difficulty is choosing a restaurant as there are so many. They all offer a mouth-watering range of meals from traditional Greek (sofrito, stifado, moussaka etc.) to British, Chinese, Italian - the list goes on. It is said that you can holiday for weeks in Acharavi and eat at a different restaurant every day.
Supermarkets are abundant and are well stocked with a good choice of internationally branded goods as well as Greek. You certainly wont have to bring food with you !
They even supply a range of machines, sprays and creams to ensure that the mosquitos (they can be a bit of a pest at times during the season) are kept at bay.
If you’ve never eaten bread baked in Greece before then you’re in for a tasty surprise!
The supermarkets sell sliced loafs for toasting and fresh loafs which smell and taste amazing. There are no preservatives used in the baking of bread and this is reflected in the taste.
There are plenty of Bars to choose from. Depending on what kind of evening you want, you could choose a lively bar playing all the latest tunes or a more relaxed bar with subtle background music.
Some bars are open all day and offer a range of snacks and ice-creams.
The Pumphouse Restaurant is a landmark in Acharavi taking it’s position opposite the roundabout known as the pump because locals used to use it to draw their water many years ago.
The restaurant was established over 30 years ago and is one of the most popular in the resort of Acharavi.
